TLC Design Star Brings Dazzling Functional Looks to the Home

As a featured interior designer on TLC's hit shows While You Were Out, Home Made Simple and Trading Spaces, Nadia Geller has established a reputation for pushing the envelope in inspiring homeowners to add pizazz to their every day decor. Her down-to-earth solutions and Midwestern charm combine with a passion for design and frenetic style resulting in design makeovers that are both fabulous and functional.

Geller will bring her practical solutions for creating stunning looks to the Greater Kansas City HOME SHOW and Flower, Lawn, & Garden Show, presented by GMC at Bartle Hall March 27-30. Homeowners will have the chance to learn her secrets of success during seminars on Saturday and Sunday – and one lucky winner will get an in-home consultation with Geller on Sunday, March 30.

During her presentations, Geller will share the design aesthetic that has made her a hit with viewers and turned her into an in-demand designer. Geller’s passion for designing interiors and home accessories began the instant she could hold a pencil. At age 4, she demanded full creative control of her first bedroom and hasn't looked back since. In 1999, she moved from her hometown near Chicago to New York and worked as a freelance designer before joining ABC Carpet and Home, where she gained acclaim for creating the store's signature visual merchandising displays. She now owns Nadia Geller Designs based in Los Angeles.

Geller’s new show Date My House, debuts on TLC in April. Geller and co-host Bob Guiney from ABC’s The Bachelor will work with homeowners to setup their home for a “date” with prospective buyers. Geller helps the seller stage the home’s interior design while Guiney puts together a party for family and friends of the buyer to take the home for a test drive.

One lucky area homeowner will get to experience Geller’s design inspiration with an in-home consultation from the interior design star. Visitors can enter at the show and online to win the consultation scheduled for Sunday morning. Geller will provide a one-hour consultation where she will suggest how the homeowner can make their living space more alluring and efficient.

Geller will appear on Saturday and Sunday at the HOME SHOW and Flower, Lawn & Garden Show on the NARI Neighborhood Stage. Seminar times are noon, 4 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m., 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday. Visitors at the show can enter to win the free in-home consultation until 5 p.m. Saturday.
