Showcase Brings Remodeling Solutions to Local Homeowners
As the lifestyles of Kansas City homeowners change, more and more families are changing their homes as well, opting to undertake home improvement projects that add comfort and value to their homes. Last year Americans spent more than $200 billion on both do-it-yourself and professional remodeling services, and the industry shows no signs of slowing down as more and more homeowners are choosing to spice up their homes inside and out.
Each year, thousands of homeowners turn to the Greater Kansas City HOME SHOW and Flower, Lawn & Garden Show, presented by GMC, for the resources to get started on their remodeling projects. “The Big Show” returns to Bartle Hall March 27-30, and once again brings together the region’s top residential construction and remodeling organizations under one roof in “The NARI Neighborhood … A Remodeling Showcase.”
The NARI Neighborhood is an exclusive joint partnership among Kansas City NARI, the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, and the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (HBA), which has been producing the HOME SHOW since 1948. The remodeling showcase spotlights more than 50 companies specializing in every aspect of home remodeling along with educational information and inspiring ideas on how to maximize their home’s comfort, value and efficiency.
Highlights in the NARI Neighborhood include daily stage presentations where visitors can learn hands-on tips for home improvement projects such as faux painting and other do-it-yourself projects. A panel of remodeling authorities will also provide expert advice on how to update your home to sell and how to choose projects that will allow you to better enjoy your home for years to come. On Saturday and Sunday, interior design star Nadia Geller from TLC’s While You Were Out and Trading Spaces will share the tips and tricks professional designers use to makeover home interiors to create fun and functional spaces.
Visitors to the NARI Neighborhood can also pick up a complimentary copy of the 2008 NARI Remodeling Guide for a comprehensive list of Kansas City NARI and learn helpful tips on choosing the right company for your job. The showcase will also spotlight winners of the recent REMY Awards presented for Remodel of the Year.
The Greater Kansas City HOME SHOW and the Flower, Lawn & Garden Show is produced by the HBA and is the metro’s premier home products and services event with more than 650 exhibiting companies including thousands of home improvement and remodeling services over four big days.
