Honors
Outstanding Marketing Campaigns
The best in residential
marketing, advertising and public relations
were recognized Tuesday, May 2 with the
presentation of the 16th annual Metropolitan
Awards for Marketing Excellence (MAME).
The awards were presented during the
Home Builders Association of Greater
Kansas City (HBA) Spring Awards Ceremony
at the Downtown Marriott Hotel Muehlebach
Tower. More than 900 industry professionals
attended this year’s ceremony which
also honored winners of the American
Dream Awards held in conjunction with
the 2006 Spring Homes Tour.
Each year, the
MAME Awards outstanding achievements
in marketing among categories
for single-family, multi-family and urban
home builders; associated companies such
as product and service providers; and
new-home communities. Awards are presented
in individual categories such as for
print and broadcast advertising, public
relations and special events, and Internet
marketing with company’s earning
points for the Best Overall Marketing
Campaign. Individual honors are also
presented for sales representatives.
Entries are evaluated by a team of marketing
and building industry professionals.
The HBA Sales & Marketing Council
presents the annual MAME Awards.
Western
Wyandotte Investors LLC took home top
honors for Best Overall Marketing
Campaign by a developer. The company
also took home the top award for Best
Overall Marketing Campaign for a community
priced $200,000 to $350,000 to Northridge
at Piper Estates.
Other top overall marketing
campaign award winners included Timberstone
Development
Inc. for single-family home builders;
Tom French Construction Inc. for multi-family
home builders; and Builder Designs for
associate companies. In best overall
community marketing awards, Hunt Midwest
Real Estate Development Inc. took top
honors for communities priced under $200,000
for Benson Place while Townsend Inc.
won the award for communities priced
$350,000 to $500,000 for WallStreet Tower.
Coldwell Banker John Moffitt & Associates
took the award for communities priced
more than $500,000 to Parkway 133.
Robert
Jackson of Builder Consulting won the
award for Best Overall Salesperson.
“The Sales & Marketing Council
presents these distinctive awards to
pay tribute to the outstanding talents,
originality and integrity of the individuals
marketing new homes and new-home products
and services in metropolitan Kansas City,” said
Suzan Smith of Cedarwood Homes Inc.,
chairman of the HBA Sales & Marketing
Council. “The MAME Awards are the
most prestigious awards presented for
local new-home sales marketing.”
